Hyun-Gyu Ji, pianist
 
Praised for his artistry, exceptional refinement and dazzling virtuosity, pianist Hyun-Gyu Ji has performed across Asia, Europe, and North America.

Ji is a prizewinner of numerous national and international competitions, including the Grand Prix, Sung-Jung International Competition, Second Prize, Joong-Ang Music Competition, First Prize, Suri Music Competition.

He has also appeared frequently in chamber music at Korea National University of Arts, Gyechon Classic Festival, Académie Internationale d’Été de Nice.

He is a scholarship recipient of the Hyundai CMK Foundation and as a member of the Hyundai CMK OnDream Ensemble in Korea. He was a soloist with orchestras including KNUA Symphony Orchestra, Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, Hankyung Arte Philharmonic Orchestra.

He has performed at the Cinéma de Verbier at the Verbier Festival, PepsiCo Recital Hall at Texas Christian University, the Chamber Hall of the Warsaw Philharmonic, Jordan Hall and Williams Hall at the New England Conservatory, IBK Chamber Hall and the Recital Hall of the Seoul Arts Center, Gyeonggi Arts Center Concert Hall, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, and Concert Hall of Bucheon Arts Center.

He graduated from the Korea National University of Arts, where he studied with Minsoo Sohn and received the Director’s Award. He is currently pursuing his Master’s degree at the New England Conservatory under the guidance of Wha Kyung Byun.
