Isabella Li Lao
勞黎, violin

Isabella Li Lao is an active well known young violin soloist. She has performed all over four continents and more than 50 countries and cities. Donald Weilerstein, praised Lao’s performance as "delicately touching, full of imagination and warmth of sunlight." Isabella Li Lao made her Carneige Hall debut on July 7, 2023.

She is currently a violin faculty member of China Central Conservatory of Music. Ever since she performed a violin solo at the Great Hall of the People in China at the age of nine, debuted with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra as a soloist at age of thirteen, playing Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E minor, held her first violin concerto concert, and successfully performed Brahms and Mendelssohn concertos at sixteen, Ms. Lao has been a rising star in her native country. Today, she is recognized as one of the great violinists of her generation, a truly exciting, passionate, and versatile artist in her generation. She has appeared as a soloist with national and international leading orchestras, including the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, the New York Hudson Valley Symphony Orchestra, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, China Union Symphony Orchestra, the Starling Artaria Ensemble, and many others. She has given concerts in famous concert halls in more than fifty cities, such as Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Grand Hall, Headquarters of The United Nations in New York, Jordan Hall in Boston, Forbidden City Concert Hall, Ntional Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and more.

Ms. Lao has collaborated with conductors Zubin Mehta, Benjamin Zander, Hugh Wolff, Itzhak Perlman, Jorge Ledezma Bradley, Xieyang Chen,  Xiaoying Zheng, Mark Gibson, and others.

Ms. Lao was invited to perform at the royal residence, Windsor Castle, in the UK. Ms. Lao was also invited by the former Queen of Spain, Her Majesty Sophia, to perform under Maestro Zubin Mehta in Madrid.  She has worked with violin maestros such as Gidon Kremer, Ruggiero Ricci, Itzhak Perlman, Maxim Vengerov.  She has appeared in Chinese, American, Russian, Ukrainian, and British national radio programs and newspapers.  In 2019 she was invited to perform at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and to attend the 8th St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum in the same year. In 2020 and 2021, she was invited to participate in public performances at APEC, and in 2022, the New Year Concert of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which was broadcasted by CCTV1, CCTV3, and CCTV 13 and aired online during prime time.

In addition to her concerto performances and projects, Ms. Lao is a devoted teacher who is enthusiastic about teaching. Ms.Lao is currently a violin faculty member in the Central Conservatory of Music in China.  She has translated Professor Zakhar Bron’s advanced violin literature The Art of Etudes into Chinese along with a violin study book filled with her detailed explanations. She constantly teaches in master classes in China, the United States, and Europe, including: New England Conservatory of Music Prep.School in Boston; Bucknell University in PA; Summer school of Reina Sofia’s Conservatory of Music in Spain, Music school at Renmin University and others.

Ms. Lao was born in China. At the age of ten, she attended the Central Conservatory of Music’s Primary School and became Professor Yaoji Lin’s youngest student. She was under Professor Lin’s guidance through her secondary education and was ranked first in the Central Conservatory of Music’s High School.  After graduation, she attended Cincinnati University Musical School under Prof. Sassmannshaus with a full scholarship. In her freshman year, she won First Place in the Concerto Competition and became Concert Master of the University of Cincinnati Orchestra. Later, she received a full scholarship from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, where she started her six-year study under Professor Donald Weilerstein’s guidance. After receiving her BS and MS degree from New England Conservatory, Ms. Lao received a full scholarship from Reina Sofia Conservatory in Madrid, Spain, where she received "Performance Diploma" under Professor Zakhar Bron.

Ms. Lao has won several competitions, including First Place in the Hudson Valley International String Competition in 2009, First Place in the China Central Conservatory Violin Competition, and the Special Prize for "Excellent Young Contestant" at the China (Qingdao) International Violin Competition in 2005.  She also won Third Prize in China’s National Violin Art Competition.

Ms. Lao has been an active soloist on stage who has successfully performed a wide range of concertos as a soloist, including compositions by Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Mozart, Schumann, Vivaldi, Prokofiev, Dvorak, and so on, with performances given great acclaim all across China, the United States, and Europe. She has joined ten world renowned young violinists to successfully perform Mendelssohn’s E-minor violin concerto at the 19th Shanghai International Art Festival. Ms. Li also has devoted herself to promoting original Chinese music to the world. During her performance and teaching residency at Bucknell University in the USA, she performed in a special concert with famous Chinese composers Huanzhi Li, Dun Tan, and Yuankai Bao’s symphonic works. Her performances included Chinese violin concerto Butterfly Lover’s Concerto, as well as part of Yuankai Bao’s Chinese Sights and Sounds 24 Pieces Violin Concerto world premier as a soloist. In the same time , Ms.Li brings more and more rarely performed concerto into audience attention, such as: Schumann Violin Concert, Machavariani Violin Concerto and so on.

勞黎, 知名小提琴演奏家, 推動中國作品走向世界的實踐者。演出足跡遍佈世界四大洲, 50多個國家及城市。 9歲登台人民大會堂獨奏; 13歲與北京交響樂團合作, 擔任孟德爾頌小提琴協奏曲獨奏, 被樂評為「小提琴天才」; 16歲在中國開創了一場音樂會演奏兩部小提琴協奏曲的先河, 成功演繹了布拉姆斯和孟德爾頌兩首協奏曲。現任教於中國中央音樂學院管弦樂系。

勞黎的演出足跡遍佈各國, 如:中國國家大劇院、紐約卡內基音樂廳、美國聯合國總部國會大廳、俄羅斯聖彼得堡愛樂大廳、西班牙皇家音樂廳、波士頓喬治音樂廳等。曾應英國皇室邀請在溫莎城堡進行一系列的演出和講學。曾在指揮大師祖賓. 梅塔的帶領下在西班牙皇宮演出。中國、美國、俄羅斯、烏克蘭及英國媒體均曾對勞黎報道。《中國日報》、《中國青年報》、《人民網》、《國家大劇院雜誌》等多家官方媒體曾對勞黎進行過人物專訪。

身為獨奏家, 勞黎曾與許多國內外著名樂團合作。如:捷克國家交響樂團, 波士頓愛樂樂團, 北京交響樂團, 上海愛樂樂團, 貴陽交響樂團、俄羅斯別爾哥羅德交響樂團、中國交響樂團聯合樂團等。合作過的著名指揮家有:祖賓梅塔、張國勇、水藍、班傑明詹德、陳燮陽、普拉斯多多明哥、鄭小瑛、卞祖善、馬克西姆文格洛夫、盛宗亮等。

身為特邀獨奏家, 勞黎2019在紐約聯合國總部演出; 同年在第八屆聖彼得堡國際文化論壇演出; 並在「一帶一路」沿線國家巡迴演出; 2020年受北京國際音樂節邀請, 為其錄製【勞黎小提琴世界】系列節目; 2020年、2021年連續受邀參加APEC等大型演出活動;

曾多次以特別演奏嘉賓錄製CCTV央視總台春節特別節目及大型文藝晚會節目。 2021年作為小提琴獨奏參加央視總台慶祝建黨百週年大型晚會, 2022年作為小提琴獨奏參加央視總台新年大型音樂會。 202210月受邀與國家大劇院管弦樂團在國家大劇院音樂廳成功演繹莫札特第四小提琴協奏曲; 20237月受邀在紐約卡內基音樂廳成功舉辦個人獨奏音樂會, 由「Rare Violins of New York” 贊助1735年斯特拉迪瓦里小提琴。

身為新一代小提琴獨奏家, 勞黎致力於推動中國作品走向世界舞台。 2017年在美國首演了鮑元愷《炎黃風情》小提琴獨奏與樂隊版; 2019年再次把該作品帶到紐約聯合國總部; 同年在俄羅斯聖彼得堡愛樂大廳演繹了中國經典音樂《梁祝》小提琴協奏曲。 2022年勞黎受著名作曲家趙季平先生邀請, 擔任其《第一小提琴協奏曲》獨奏, 並在全國巡演, 反應熱烈。 2023年勞黎在卡內基舉辦獨奏音樂會, 成功的把趙季平《第一小提琴協奏曲》以及國粹經典《大唐貴妃》主題曲《梨花頌》帶到了舉世聞名的卡內基音樂廳, 西方觀​​眾全體起立鼓掌, 獲得轟動!同時, 勞黎在國內成功的開拓並演繹了眾多鮮為人知的西方經典小提琴協奏曲, 如:舒曼、馬恰瓦里安妮等小提琴協奏曲。

勞黎也熱衷於小提琴教學的創新, 2019年由現代出版社出版了她引進並翻譯的小提琴鼻祖布朗大師的高級教材《小提琴練習曲的藝術》, 並獨立編著《小提琴練習曲的藝術-詳解與練習》。該教材已被選入中央音樂學院「科學研究成果」並將出版影片教學。 2018年回到母校中央音樂學院任教以來, 數年間學生獲得14​​個國際國內小提琴比賽獎項、其中5個金獎。

勞黎早年師從藤茂隆、趙薇教授, 10歲師從林耀基教授。以中央音樂學院附中第一名畢業後獲全額獎學金赴美留學, 師從唐納德維勒斯坦(Donald Weilerstein)教授, 獲美國新英格蘭音樂學院學士與碩士學位。隨後赴西班牙索菲亞女皇音樂學院深造, 師從一代小提琴宗師扎哈爾·布朗(Zakhar Bron)教授, 並擔任其助教。

勞黎曾獲2009年美國紐約Hudson Valley國際賽事金獎; 斯塔林基金小提琴比賽第一名; 中央音樂學院小提琴比賽第一名等20多個中外獎項。 2023-2024年勞黎受邀將錄製並出版兩張個人唱片, 一張由北美Naxos唱片公司發行、一張由北京環球音像出版社發行。

Mo Mo
莫漠, cello

Celebrated by the Weekly Music magazine for his "impeccably logical and also vivid, emotional playing", Mo Mo has firmly established himself as one of the leading cellists of his generation. In recent years, he has performed with esteemed orchestras such as China National Symphony Orchestra, China Philharmonic Orchestra, China National Opera House Symphony Orchestra, Beijing Symphony Orchestra, Hangzhou Symphony Orchestra, and the Macao Chinese Orchestra, under the baton of Tan Dun, Lv Jia, Yang Yang and Liu Sha. Mo Mo’s performances have resonated across the United States, China, and Europe at iconic venues such as Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., National Center for Performing Arts in Beijing, Jordan Hall in Boston, and the Fontainebleau Palace in Paris. He is a regular invitee to prestigious music festivals such as Tanglewood Music Festival, the Heifetz International Music Institute, Festival Croisements, Shanghai New Music Week, and Macao Arts Festival.

Mo Mo’s 2023-2024 season highlights include featuring in the opening concert of 2023 Beijing Modern Music Festival and the 25th Beijing International Music Festival, performing two of the most iconic cello concertos in Chinese contemporary music repertoire: Dawn by Qin Wenchen and Reflet D`un Temps Disparu by Chen Qigang. He made solo appearances with China Philharmonic Orchestra, Hangzhou Symphony Orchestra, Kunming Nie Er Symphony Orchestra, while undertaking a Bach project at the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, performing all six of J.S.Bach’s solo cello suites. Additionally, he embarked on a solo recital tour across major Chinese cities. His rendition of the cello concerto Flowing Sleeves by Grammy-Nominated composer Zhou Tian was nationally broadcast by CCTV.

As a soloist, Mo Mo embraces a diverse repertoire and is passionate about promoting Chinese music culture. He has worked closely with leading Chinese composers such as Tan Dun, Chen Qigang, Zhao Jiping, Qin Wenchen, and Zhou Tian, on their groundbreaking cello concertos, including The Map and Reflet D`un Temps Disparu. His artistic ventures extend beyond classical realms, with notable collaborations with Ms. Han Hong, one of the most revered pop singers and music producers in China, on her debut cello composition "Chant for Life", dedicated to those suffered during the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic. He also left his mark on the realms of film music, recording original music for the acclaimed Full River Red by Director Zhang Yimou, and the art world, collaborating with English sculpture artist Antony Gormley for his exhibition, Living Time, at the TAG Art Museum.

An avid chamber music player, Mo Mo has collaborated with renowned musicians such as Mark Kaplan, Ilya Kaler, and Robert Diaz. He was invited to tour with artists from the Heifetz International Music Institute, performing across Rode Island and New York. In 2018, Mo Mo joined Beijing Contemporary Soloists, the first professional contemporary music ensemble in China, dedicated to promoting chamber works by both Chinese and international composers. Their debut album, Jade, released under Naxos in 2022, features chamber works by five distinguished Chinese composers.

Mo Mo began his cello studies with Professor Song Tao at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing at the age of 6, and later with the legendary Brazilian-American cellist Aldo Parisot at Yale School of Music. His accolades include top prizes at international competitions such as the 2016 Schoenfeld International String Competition in Harbin, China, and the 2017 Koussevitzky Young Artist Award in New York. He is also a recipient of the Aldo Parisot Prize from Yale University, the Karl Zeise Memorial Cello Award from Tanglewood Music Center, and the Beneficent Society Scholarship from New England Conservatory. His other mentors includes Mula Na, Laurence Lesser, and Philippe Muller.

(CHIME News Bulletin 28, Jan. 2023, 荷蘭), 莫漠近年來已成為音樂會舞台上"不僅技術精湛, 在藝術修養上亦造詣頗深" (《新民晚報》20215月,上海) 的一位優秀年輕大提琴演奏家, 其活力四射的演奏與優雅輕盈的獨特氣質已廣獲讚譽。

莫漠曾在中國、法國、美國多座城市成功舉辦獨奏音樂會, 曾與中國交響樂團、中國愛樂樂團、中央歌劇院交響樂團、北京交響樂團、杭州愛樂樂團、深圳交響樂團、長沙交響樂團團、蘇州交響樂團、浙江交響樂團、昆明聶耳交響樂團、中央音樂學院交響樂團和美國波士頓亞裔青年交響樂團和澳門中樂團等合作上演中外大提琴名作。

2023年, 莫漠先後在福州、天津、無錫舉辦"大提琴的時間簡史"個人獨奏音樂會巡演, 在北京中山公園音樂堂舉辦"巴赫:無伴奏大提琴組曲音樂會", 一天之內完整地演奏了巴赫為大提琴創作的全套六首無伴奏組曲; 作為獨奏家, 分別登台"北京現代音樂節","北京國際音樂節"開幕式音樂會, 與指揮家俞峰、楊洋及中央音樂學院交響樂團、中國愛樂樂團合作演奏秦文琛的大提琴協奏曲《黎明》(北京國家大劇院)和陳其鋼為大提琴和管弦樂隊而作的《逝去的時光》(北京保利劇院); 與作曲家兼指揮家譚盾和長沙交響樂團合作, 在長沙、武漢2023新年音樂會上演奏其大提琴協奏曲《臥虎藏龍》; 與指揮家張國勇、楊洋和杭州愛樂樂團合作, 在樂季音樂會「理查施特勞斯的浪漫之旅」上演奏《唐·吉訶德 -- 一個騎士性格主題的幻想曲》(杭州大劇院)、在"時代交響 -- 全國優秀樂團邀請展演"上演奏週天的大提琴協奏曲《水袖》(捷豹上海交響音樂廳); 與指揮家柴昊夫和昆明聶耳交響樂團合作, 在音樂季音樂會「俄式旋風」上演奏柴可夫斯基《洛可可主題變奏曲》(雲南省大劇院)

近年來莫漠懷著極大的熱情投入到中國當代優秀大提琴作品的演繹與推廣上, 在譚盾、陳其鋼、趙季平、郭文景、秦文琛、週天等的信任與支持下, 多次演奏這些著名作曲家為大提琴而創作的作品; 同時, 莫漠也積極致力於將更多西方經典大提琴曲目呈現給中國聽眾, 其舉辦的「貝多芬大提琴與鋼琴作品全集」
(長沙音樂廳)、「遇見法蘭西世紀之交的大提琴經典, 憂患中誕生的藝術力量」(北京中山公園音樂堂)、「浪漫與理性的隨想」(北京國家大劇院)、「致敬巴赫-莫漠大提琴獨奏音樂會」(上海東方藝術中心)、「樂見古典·布拉姆斯的內心獨白」(北京音樂廳)等系列獨奏、重奏音樂會, 皆吸引了不同城市的音樂愛好者步入音樂廳, 得以親身感受古典大提琴經典作品的藝術魅力。

莫漠的演奏曲目不拘一格, 獨奏、協奏、室內樂音樂會之外, 還曾在指揮家劉沙指揮下,與澳門中樂團合作演奏趙季平先生為大提琴和民族管弦樂隊而作的《莊週夢》、受邀參與"古琴琴歌琴曲音樂會",演奏古琴家吳文光先生的述作改編作品《杏花天影》《秋月照茅廬》、為電影《滿江紅》
(導演:張藝謀)錄製音樂人韓紅女士的電影原聲配樂、為話劇《雷雨》(導演:濮存昕)演奏周娟女士的原創配樂、為香港國際詩歌之夜委約的舞蹈短片《縱綣》錄製配樂(該短片入圍2023美國西部舞蹈電影節)。作為創始成員之一,其與中國首個職業當代音樂團體-北京當代樂團共同錄製的專輯《玉》已由拿索斯唱片公司出版發行。

莫漠出生於北京, 於中央音樂學院附中畢業後, 受邀赴美國耶魯大學音樂學院隨傳奇大提琴演奏大師阿爾多.帕里索特
(Aldo Parisot)先生學習, 後相繼受教於美國著名大提琴家勞倫斯.萊瑟(Laurence Lesser)和法國著名大提琴家菲利普.穆勒(Philippe Muller)
先生。在學期間,曾獲得包括勳菲爾德國際弦樂比賽大獎、庫恰文斯基音樂基金會青年藝術家大獎、美國檀古屋音樂節卡爾.澤斯大提琴紀念獎和耶魯大學音樂學院阿爾多.帕里索特大提琴演奏獎等多個獎項。莫漠的大提琴啟蒙老師為中央音樂學院宋濤教授,也曾受教於娜木拉教授。


Yinfei Wang 王寅飛, piano

Pianist Yinfei Wang made his first public appearance at the age of seven in the Shanghai Concert Hall. Since then, he has performed throughout China, Singapore, Spain, Australia and the United States. He has been a prizewinner of many national and international piano competitions, including Washington International Piano Competition, Gershwin International Piano Competition, Five Towns Piano Comeptition in New York, Jacob Flier Piano Competition, Shande Ding Piano Competition in Shanghai, Chopin Piano Competition in Connecticut and many others. As a soloist, Mr. Wang has performed with the Hudson Valley Philharmonic Orchestra, the MSM Symphony Orchestra, with conductors Vladimir Feltsman, Phillipe Entremont, among others.

An avid chamber musician, Mr. Wang has performed in many music festivals and concert series, including The Perlman Music Program, PianoSummer at New Paltz, Summer Concerts at NEC in Boston, Walnut Hill Music Festival, the Concerts on the Slope series in New York, and many others. He has collaborated with musicians such as Thomas Hill, Nai-Yuan Hu, Nicholas Kitchen, Kenneth Radnofsky and Cong Wu. His recordings could be found in the Shanghai Conservatory of Music: Seventieth Anniversary Gala Album.

Mr. Wang received his Bachelor’s degree from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, his Master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Manhattan School of Music. His Principle teachers include Phillip Kawin, Yanxin Chen, Christopher Zhong and Chongfang Zhang.
