Liwen
Wang (王麗文), also known as Ree-Ven Wang Dai, is a soprano, graduated from New
England Conservatory of Music with a master degree in voice. She has won
the First Prize in China Broadcasting Company’s Art Song Contest in
Taiwan, appeared as soloist with Nashua Symphony Orchestra, NH
Philharmonic Orchestra, Nashua chamber Orchestra, Keene Chorale, Concord
Chorus , and Spectrum Singers in various oratorios such as Handel’s
“Messiah”, Hayden’s “Creation”, Bach’s “St. John’s Passion”, and
Poulenc’s “Gloria”. She has also sung with Cantata Singers, Montage, and
is singing currently with Spectrum Singers.
She is recently reviewed by Boston Music Intelligence, “----Liwen Wang’s
stunning singing performance contained enough quiet drama and possible
heartbreak for a whole evening; she was an unforgettable marvel.”
Her repertoire includes German Lieder, French Melodies, English Art
Songs, Chinese Folk Songs, as well as Oratorio Arias.
Besides singing, she also conducts the
Greater Boston Chinese Cultural
Association Chorus, and leads Melody Dance Troupe, a Chinese classical
and folk dance troupe. The above two groups perform through out greater
Boston area with the goal of promoting Chinese culture.
